Terms of Service

Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using the SimplePoTranslate website, REST API, and official WordPress plugin (together, the "Service"), operated by Aidrobe LLC ("us", "we", or "our").

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Service you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of them, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

SimplePoTranslate is an AI-powered localization service for Gettext (.po, .pot), i18next JSON, and XLIFF files. It is available through the website, the REST API, and the official SimplePoTranslate WordPress plugin, which acts as a client of the same API. Third-party or unofficial API clients are used at your own risk and must comply with these Terms.

3. Accounts

You must provide accurate and complete information when you sign up and keep that information current. You are responsible for all activity that takes place under your account. You may close your account at any time by contacting us at hello@simplepotranslate.com; we process deletion requests manually.

4. API Access & Keys

API access, including use through the WordPress plugin, requires a paid plan (Pro or Lifetime). API keys are personal to your account. You are responsible for:

• Keeping your API key confidential and not sharing it publicly (for example, never commit it to a public repository).
• All usage performed with your key, whether by you or anyone who has obtained it.
• Revoking any key you believe to be compromised, through your dashboard.

We may suspend or revoke keys that are used in a way that violates these Terms or threatens the stability of the Service.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service to translate content you do not have the right to translate, or content that is illegal in your jurisdiction or ours.
• Attempt to bypass rate limits, usage quotas, or authentication mechanisms.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service, except where such activity is expressly permitted by applicable law.
• Scrape the Service, retransmit the API without authorization, or resell translation output as part of a competing service without a written agreement.
• Use the Service to generate content designed to deceive, harass, or harm others.

6. Subscriptions & Payments

Some plans are billed on a subscription basis. Payments are processed by Stripe; we do not store your full payment card details. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your dashboard, in which case your plan remains active until the end of the current paid period.

7. Refund Policy

All sales are final. Because SimplePoTranslate offers a substantial Free tier that lets you evaluate translation quality, speed, and compatibility before purchasing, we do not offer refunds for paid subscriptions or Lifetime deals once payment is processed.

Exceptions may be granted only where the Service demonstrably failed to deliver the promised output due to a technical fault on our side, at the sole discretion of Aidrobe LLC.

8. Usage Limits & Fair Use

Each plan comes with a monthly string quota. To prevent abuse and keep the Service stable we apply a fair-use policy: extremely long strings (over 500 characters) may count as multiple usage units, and we may suspend accounts that attempt to circumvent quotas or use the Service for purposes unrelated to software localization (for example, translating entire books).

9. AI Output & Quality Disclaimer

Translations are produced by AI systems. While we tune our pipeline for localization quality, AI output can be inaccurate, incomplete, or culturally inappropriate. You are responsible for reviewing translations before publishing or shipping them. We make no warranty, express or implied, regarding the accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or legal compliance of AI-generated output.

10. Intellectual Property

The Service, its branding, and its original content remain the exclusive property of Aidrobe LLC and its licensors. You retain full ownership of the source files you upload and the translated files you download. By submitting a file to the Service you grant us the limited rights needed to process, translate, and deliver it back to you.

11. Service Availability

We aim to keep the Service running reliably but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may perform maintenance, change features, or take the Service offline when necessary. The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service, with or without notice, if you breach these Terms. You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us at hello@simplepotranslate.com. Termination does not entitle you to a refund except as described in Section 7.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Aidrobe LLC and its directors, employees, partners, and suppliers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses — arising from your use of the Service.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date above and, for material changes, notify users by email or in-product notice. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions.
